Google Calendar integration
Calendar · by SynqSlot (Dynam Ideas Corp.)
Busy times keep double-bookings off your page; every booking lands on your Google Calendar with the guest invited and a Google Meet link when you want one.
Setup
About a minute. Works with Gmail and Google Workspace accounts.
- 1
Sign in to SynqSlot with Google
Go to synqslot.com and click Continue with Google. SynqSlot uses Google Sign-In only to identify you (name, email, picture); the 15-day trial starts without a card. If you already have a SynqSlot account under the same email, Google sign-in opens it — no second password.
- 2
Connect your calendar
Dashboard → Connected calendars → Google Calendar → Connect. Google's consent screen lists two permissions: "View your availability in your calendars" (free/busy) and "View and edit events on all your calendars" (to create and update the booking events). Click Allow.
- 3
Choose where bookings go and what blocks time
Bookings are written to the primary calendar of the connection marked "Use for new events" — if you connect more than one account, pick which one on its card. Each connection also has a "Blocks availability" switch, so a second account can be read for conflicts without receiving events.
- 4
Optional: read event titles for focus time
Off by default. If you turn on "Read event titles" on a connection, SynqSlot reads the titles of your own events in memory to recognise Focus time, Out of office and Travel blocks you marked as Free, and protects them. Titles are never stored. Turning it off reverts to free/busy only.
What happens day to day
Nothing to do — SynqSlot keeps the calendar and the booking page in step.
- 1
Availability
Your booking page only offers times inside your SynqSlot hours that are not busy on the connected calendars. Busy times are read at the moment someone views the page; nothing from your calendar is copied into SynqSlot.
- 2
Bookings
When someone books, SynqSlot creates one event on your destination calendar with the invitee as a guest, so Google sends the invitation and keeps RSVPs. If the booking link uses Google Meet, the Meet link is generated with the event and placed in the confirmation and reminders.
- 3
Reschedules and cancellations
A reschedule updates the same event to the new time (the replacement is created and confirmed before the old one is removed, so the guest never sees an empty gap). A cancellation deletes the event; Google notifies the guest.
- 4
Teams
Each team member connects their own Google Calendar. Round-robin and panel booking links read every assigned host's busy times and write the event to the assigned host's calendar — or every panelist's.
Permissions and data
| Scope | Used for | What SynqSlot stores |
|---|---|---|
| openid, email, profile | Google Sign-In: who you are, for your SynqSlot account. | Name, email, picture URL. |
| calendar.events.freebusy | Read busy/free blocks so your page never offers a time you are busy. | Nothing — read at request time, discarded after the slots are computed. |
| calendar.events | Create, update and delete the event for each booking; optionally read titles of your own events (opt-in) to protect focus time. | The id of each event SynqSlot created, on the booking. Titles are never stored. |
SynqSlot's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Privacy policy · Terms
Disconnecting
Either place works. Events already on your calendar are never deleted by disconnecting.
- 1
From SynqSlot
Dashboard → Connected calendars → Google Calendar → Disconnect. SynqSlot stops reading and writing immediately, deletes its stored tokens and revokes the grant with Google. One exception: if the connection still owns the calendar events of upcoming bookings, the credentials are kept only until those meetings have passed — so they can still be cancelled or moved — and are then deleted and revoked automatically. Events already on your calendar stay.
- 2
From your Google Account
myaccount.google.com → Security → Your connections to third-party apps & services → SynqSlot → Delete all connections. SynqSlot detects the revoked grant on its next calendar read, stops using the connection and marks it as needing a reconnect.
Questions
Does SynqSlot read my other events?
Only as busy/free blocks, unless you turn on "Read event titles". Attendees, descriptions, locations and attachments are never requested.
Which calendars can I connect?
Any Google account — personal Gmail or Google Workspace. You can connect several Google accounts and other providers (Outlook, iCloud/CalDAV) side by side.
Does it work with Google Meet?
Yes. Set a booking link's location to Google Meet; the Meet link is created with the calendar event through the Calendar API, so no extra permission is needed.
How is my Google data protected?
Tokens are encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM) and deleted on disconnect, account deletion, or when Google reports the grant revoked. SynqSlot's use of Google user data complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements — see the privacy policy.
Which SynqSlot plans include Google Calendar?
All plans and the free trial. Pricing is flat — Solo $6/month, Team 5 $27/month, Team 10 $35/month — not per seat.
